Living in Atlanta means never having to dine at the same place twice – unless of course you want to. And when it comes to Garrisons, I do. This great restaurant has now open three Atlanta locations – so you never have to travel far to eat their amazing cuisine.
If you don’t make reservations at this Atlanta landmark, you’ll most likely find yourself waiting for a table which isn’t a bad option due to their always-happening bar area. And if you find yourself not wanting to give up your bar stool, you don’t have to. They’ll serve you dinner right there.
Once seated, you’ll be greeted with one of the best bread bowls in Atlanta. But don’t fill up - the best is yet to come. While you won’t want to miss out on the calamari appetizer or house salad, the reason I keep coming back to Garrisons time and time again is the pecan-crusted halibut. It melts in my mouth. While it comes with garlic-mashed potatoes, I highly suggest substituting the mashed sweet potatoes. I’m not sure what they put in them (and maybe it’s best I don’t know) but they are delicious.
Whatever you end up ordering at Garrisons in Atlanta, you won’t be disappointed – and you’ll never have a problem finishing what’s on your plate (which unfortunately are not edible). |
